What goes into a gutter quote?
A price per foot cannot describe every home. Measured length, height, corners, downspouts, removal, and mounting-surface work can change the scope. Use our checklist to compare what is actually included.
Repair or replace?
The location and extent of the damage matter more than a single symptom. A repair can be sensible for a local issue in a sound system; replacement may be more useful when damage or layout problems affect much of it.
Why do gutters overflow?
Debris, restricted outlets, poor pitch, and concentrated roof runoff can all look like a waterfall over the edge. Learn which observations help explain the problem and how the whole water path should be assessed.
Bring the questions to your assessment
Ask which part of the system is failing, what the proposed work addresses, and what remains outside the quote. If guards or drainage extensions are suggested, ask how they fit the existing gutters and what maintenance remains.
These guides are general explanations, not a diagnosis of your property. Conditions at the home determine the appropriate scope.
